What x402 is
x402 is an open, neutral standard for internet-native payments. [source] If a request arrives without payment, the server answers with HTTP 402, and the client pays and tries again. [source] A facilitator is a service that handles payment verification and settlement on the blockchain. [source] The standard is not tied to a specific network, and stablecoin payments are the main use case. [source] USDC is a dollar-backed stablecoin available on several blockchains. [source] This directory uses Base Sepolia (chain ID 84532). [source]
What Pix is
Pix is the instant payment method created by the Central Bank of Brazil, with transfers between accounts in a few seconds, at any hour of any day. [source] It is free for individuals and low-cost for businesses. [source] The payer uses their bank's app or taps their phone. [source] Institutions can set maximum limits, and after 8 p.m. the limit for individuals is R$ 1,000. [source] In case of fraud, the Special Refund Mechanism (MED) can be requested in the institution's app within 80 days, with no guarantee of a refund. [source]

With Pix, the payer uses their own bank's app. [source] That's why Pix services here are only listed with a link: this directory never receives or moves Pix funds. [directory]
Converting between USDC and reais
Companies that provide virtual asset services in Brazil must request authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil. [source] Before using any such service, check the regulator's rules. [source]
